says Francis Bacon and as a great Storehouse of Knowledge, the Library plays an important role in enhancing the prospects of the student community, by imparting power through knowledge. The library has been an integral component of the institution ever since its inception in 1895. Library plays an important role in enhancing the prospects of students’ community by imparting power through knowledge. It is literally the institution’s intellectual lifeline responsible for sustained growth of the college in all spheres.

The College Library, a gift in part by the UGC, is located in the front of the main building on its right side. The new building started functioning from July 2^nd 1986.

Users can recommend books and journals by using prescribed book / journal recommendation form.

• Inclusion of sufficient information about the library in the college website.
• Displaying newspaper clipping about the student relevant information in the library notice board

Internet facilities for students and staff:

• Suggestions box is provided.
• Conducting book exhibition cum sales on different occasions.
• Permitting students and faculty from other institutions for reference and consultation.
• Display of general information on health, spoken English on the notice board.
